Chicken Momos
Momos are basically originated in Nepal .
Momos is a type of steamed bun with different fillings in it.It is one of the most popular fast food among Nepalese in Kathmandu valley. It has become traditional delicacy in Nepal ,Tibet, and then spread to Sikkim , Darjeeling district as well.
Ingredients....
For making dough..
For stuffing
- Boiled Chicken
- Mixed herbs 1tsp
- Chilly flakes 1tsp
- Black pepper powder pinch
- Salt to taste
- Butter 1 tbs
Procedure....
- Knead the dough and let it rest for 15 min
- In a bowl mix all the ingredients of stuffing and keep it ready....
- now take small amount of dough and roll it into small puri,add the stuffing and give the desire shape of momos.
- Meanwhile heat water in the steamer,grease steel strainer with oil and arrange all the momos in strainer.
- Steam the momos for 15-20 min.
- Serve hot steamed momos with shezwan chutney, OR you can deep fry then and serve.
- Momos are also prepared by using different fillings like meat,vegetables,paneer,smashed potatoes,cabbage etc
