Plum cake / Christmas cake
Plum cake is usually made during Christmas festival.It is made up of dried fruits or fresh fruits which are soaked in wine or rum for about 3 months before Christmas.It sounds hard but it is actually a very simple recipie and also can be made eggless and without oven.
So let's start and feel tempting.....

- Soaked dried fruits - 100 gms each raisins, dates, kiwi, oranges, black grapes in 1 cup of wine or rum for about 1 week to 3 months.
- Oil / butter - 1/4 cup or 50 gms
- Sugar - 1/4th cup
- Milkmaid - half tin
- Curd - 1/4 cup
- All purpose flour / Maida - 1 cup
- Cocoa powder - 1/4 cup
- Baking powder - 1 tspoon
- Baking soda - 1/2 tspoon
- Cinnamon powder / dalchini - 1/4 tspoon
- Nutmeg powder / jaifal - 1/4 tspoon
- Chocolate essence - 1/4 tspoon
- Vanilla essence -1/4 tspoon
- Rum essence -1/4 tspoon
- Orange juice - 1 cup
- Wine or rum - 1-2 cup
- Orange zest - 1/4 tspoon
- Chopped dry fruits like almonds , cashew, walnuts, hazelnuts .
Preparation
How to soaked dried fruits
Add in 180 ml of rum(old monk) or red wine for one month
Add all above ingredients in a mixer grinder , further add 1/4 cup of curd and grind to a smooth paste.
