Gulab jamun (with milk powder)
Gulab Jammun is milk solid based dish popular in Indian subcontinent . It is a dessert eatten at festivals , Birthdays and major celebration like marraiges .There are various types of Gulab Jammun and every variety has distinct taste and appearance. Gulab Jammuns are generally made from khoya/mava , milkpowder .They are also made by adding sugar to a batter which gives black coolur after frying called kala jam or black jammun ,They can be given shapes like round oval and can also stuffed with nuts and raisins , they can be served with kesar , rabdi, silver vark.
Ingredient.....
- Milk powder 2 cups
- Barik rawa 3 tbsp
- Maida 2tbsp
- Baking powder 1tsp
- Ghee 2tbsp
- Milk approximately 1cup
- Sugar for chachni 2 cup
- Water for making chachni 3 cups
- Lemon juice 4-5drops
- Oil for frying
- choped nuts , pista , raisins, kesar

Take 3tbsp Barik rawa /sooji and add two tbsp of water and set aside
Take 2 cups of milk powder.
Add in ghee 2tbsp.
Now add 1tsp baking powder.
Add soaked suji and mix well.
Add 2 tbsp of maida or arraroot powder.
Add in milk and make a dough.(approx 1/2cup).
It will be sticky ,but after resting time of 15-20 min ,it will soak all milk.
Make small balls
Fry it in hot oil under low flame.
Mix 2 cups of sugar in 3 cups of water and boil well to make a single strand chachni.
Add strands of kesar and elaichi powder lemon to avoid crystals of sugar after cooling.
Add fried gulab jammun into a hot chachni .
