Instant Chakali / Murukku
Chakali is traditional Indian snack usually made during diwali festival and very popular in south Asian cusine at every home.
Ingredients
- Rice flour 1 + 1/2 cup
- Besan 1/2 cup
- Sesame seeds 3tsp
- Cumin seeds 1tsp
- Chilly powder 1tsp
- Hing/Asafoitida 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Edible hot oil 1 tbsp
- Hot boiled Water 2 tsp
Procedure
- At very first heat enough oil in a kadai or a voke for deep frying the chakalies.
- In a bowl take rice and besan flour,hing,Sesame seeds,Cumin seeds,salt, Chilly powder and hot oil from the hot kadhai and mix evenly by hand.
- Now add hot water and make a soft dough.
- Grease the chakali mould ,fill in the dough and make chakali.
- Deep fry them at low flame which helps to make it crispy.
