Pakoda curry / भजिंची आमटी
Ingredient.....
For gravy
- Onion - 1 big
- Grated dry coconut - 1/4 cup
- Ginger - 1 inch
- Garlic - 10-15 cloves
- Red chilly powder - tsp
- Corrainder powder -1 tsp
- Kanda lasoon masal / garam masala - 1 tsp
- Kitchen king masala - 1tsp
- Maggi masala magic -1/2tsp
- Turmeric powder - pinch
- Salt to taste
- Oil - 2tbs
For Pakodas / kofta
- Besan /gram flour - 2 cups
- Green chilly and garlic paste - 1tbsp
- Finely chopped onion - 1 cup
- Finely chopped coriander leaves - 2tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Ajwayein - 1tsp
- Soda - pinch
- Oil for frying
All we need is.....
Step 1. Gravy making
Dry roast Onion till little black.Burn little.
Roast garlic.
Roast grated coconut.
Till light brown.
Take it in mixing grinder jar.
Add in spices....1tsp each of red chilly powder, corrainder powder, Garam masala ,salt and 1/2tsp turmeric.
One tbsp oil.
Chopped coriander leaves.
Add little water and grind to a fine and smooth paste...
In the same griddle I have taken two tbsp of oil and add 1tsp red chilly powder when oil is slightly warm.
Add ground masala.
Saute for while.
Add chopped coriander leaves .
Add little water to the remains in mixing jar and add this to the masala.
Cover and cook for 2 min.
Oil gets separated
Pour this masala in two glass of hot water in a voke.
Stir and let it boil.
Gravy is ready.
Step 2. Now let's make the Pakodas / kofta.
Take two cups of besan /gram flour.
Gradually add water and make a thick batter.
Add in salt accordingly.
1tbsp of coursely ground green chilly and garlic.
Finely chopped onion and corrainder leaves.
Ajwayein and pinch of soda bicarbonate.
Make medium size Pakodas.
Fry till light brown.
Pakodas are ready to go in gravy.
Add Pakodas in gravy.
Add 1tsp kitchen king masala and maggi masala magic half tsp.
Cook till Pakodas are soft.
Pakoda curry is ready for lunch or dinner.
